He started taking photographs in 1958. In 1970, he graduated from the Department of Business Administration at the Ankara Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences. He opened his first solo exhibition, called 'Human,' in 1973, gave slide shows, participated in group exhibitions, and had his photographs exhibited in numerous exhibitions, competitions, and biennales both in Turkey and abroad. He served as a jury member in national and international photography competitions.
He primarily took portrait photographs and photographs of Anatolian civilizations. He particularly photographed children, and the fairy tales he wrote were published in many children's magazines. He also illustrated children's books. He designed posters, book, record, cassette, and CD covers, and worked on animated films. He acted in many films, including Mehmet Aydın's 1987 production, 'Küçüğüm.' He served as a jury member for the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, the Adana Golden Boll Film Festival, and the Ankara Film Festival. He taught Basic Photography courses at Istanbul Bilgi University's Faculty of Communication and at Istanbul Kültür University.
